Entertainment: President Buhari, don’t read your speech today - Yul Edochie

- Nollywood actor and politician, Yul Edochie, has taken to social media via his Twitter page to reach out to the president of the country

- Edochie reacted to the news that President Buhari will be addressing Nigerians during a live broadcast on April 27, 2020

- The actor then implored the president to speak to Nigerians from his heart and not to read his speech from a piece of paper like he has been known to do

Times are hard all over the world at the moment and this is mostly due to the coronavirus pandemic that has been raging for some months now. Many countries have had to make tough decisions and also present their citizens with a symbol of hope anytime they can.

For third world countries, things seem to be slightly different as people have complained of being told to stay at home despite them having no money to feed or fend for themselves.

Every time the president of such countries wants to address its citizens, they usually hope for good news but that has not been the case for some countries.

It has been reported that Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, will address citizens by 8pm on April 27, 2020. Despite the report, a lot of people seem to want better from the president.

In reaction to the report of Buhari’s live broadcast, Nollywood actor and politician, Yul Edochie, took to social media via his Twitter page to beg the president to speak to Nigerians from his heart.

Edochie said that Buhari should drop the paper and not read his speech today but that he should speak to Nigerians from his heart.

He wrote: “Dear President @MBuhari, drop paper.

Don’t read speech today. Speak to Nigerians from your heart.”
